Is this you?
Functional on the outside. Lost on the inside.
Maybe the medical team has signed off. Maybe everyone says you look great. But something fundamental has shifted, and you can't quite name it.
- You don't recognise the way you think, feel or react anymore.
- The things that used to define you (work, sport, friendships) don't fit like they did.
- You're grieving the old you, and feel guilty for it because "at least you survived".
- People don't understand an injury they can't see.
- You want to move forward but have no idea who you're moving forward as.

EnquireThe gut-brain connection
Healing the brain means looking after the gut too.
Research increasingly shows that a brain injury can disrupt the gut microbiome, and the gut talks back to the brain.
As a gut health coach as well as a TBI survivor, I look at the whole picture. Alongside the identity work, we can gently explore how food, digestion and daily rhythms might be affecting your energy, mood and focus.
- Understand the two-way link between your gut and your healing brain
- Simple, realistic food and routine changes, no extreme diets
- Notice patterns between what you eat, how you sleep and how you feel
- Work alongside your GP, dietitian or treating team, never instead of them
"Some prompts will feel easy. Some will stop you cold. If a prompt stops you, that is the one worth sitting with."

Ready to talk? Book your free 15-minute chat straight into my calendar. Or, if you'd rather start with a message, tell me a little about where you're at and I'll reply within two business days.
Family member or carer reaching out for someone else? That's welcome too.
Coaching is support based on lived experience. It isn't a replacement for medical, psychological or rehabilitation care, and works best alongside your treating team.
